Hi Holly here,
If you’re looking for the best way to lose weight for your wedding (or lose wedding weight! as I swear I ended up putting on almost a stone during the planning of my wedding) then Im glad you’ve found this website and suggest you keep reading or click here to see how I dropped 2 dress sizes in time for my wedding
Because this is my unsensored wedding weight loss story the ups, the downs,
what didnt work and finally the one thing that did actually work to help me
lose weight fast in time for my wedding and achieve my goal weight and more importantly lose the 3 dress sizes that allowed me to fit into my dream wedding dress.
When I found myself planning my wedding I knew exactly the type of dress I wanted to wear, the only problem was I really didnt think it would suit me at the weight I was. I had put on weight while at university and a bit more after we bought our first flat together to put it bluntly I had got a little too
comfortable and a whole lot lazy!
The result being I was 10-15 lbs. heavier than I wanted to be for my wedding. I didn’t want to be looking overweight for the day that I had waited for all my life, so I knew I had to do something serious. I tried dieting on my own, just eating less and exercising more but found I just didn’t have the willpower,or the time.
However I was determined to be a certain size for my big day and decided there was no bigger motivation than having to fit into my dream dress so I bought it 2 sizes to small and then promptly put on almost a stone while planning “THE WEDDING” (who doesnt eat cake or chocolate when stressed!)
However this meant that with just 18 weeks to go to my wedding it wasnt 1 size to small or even 2 no thanks to my complete lack of discipline and love of comfort eating my dream dress was now almost 3 sizes to small and I was now even more of a bridezilla than I had been! ( I now have
to admit that as the panic over losing the weight in time for my wedding was making me a psycopath and no fun to be around!)
So I desperatly started trying anything that was recommend for brides to lose weight (im guessing this is starting to sound familiar!)
I tried ultimate workout plans for brides (what bride has 2 hours to spare a day to work out?), wedding diet plans (SOME SHOULD HAVE READ “PRIVATE CHEF REQUIRED”), I bought a wedding day work out dvd (somehow sprained my ankle), I even tried a wedding dress diet where I could eat as much as liked one day and only drink water for the next 2, I listened to friends and familyhints and tips on fast wedding weight loss here are some of the ones I tried
1. the cabbage soup diet- oh good god I started to visualise my hubby, the tv anything as bits of bread a nice steak, a glass of wine! Did I lose weight on this diet, yes (4lbs) did I put it all back on? yes during the following week plus another 2lbs for good measure and I fainted at work!
2.The Atkins Diet- I was never sure this diet would work for me but decided to give it a go, I bought the instruction book and a cookbook and decided to give it a go, but to be honest it left me tired, dizzy and bad tempered and my concentration levels got so bad even my boss mentioned it
3.Weightwatchers, I joined with my bridesmaid and started to lose faith when she started losing more weight than me ( I couldnt have her looking thinner than me on MY wedding day!) and then when I put on 2lbs. I just couldnt take the public humiliation (it was the week we were cake tasting and yes I did have to try all 12 choices!)
So by this point I was getting desperate I now had 11 weeks to go and needed to lose weight fast in time for the wedding and the fast approaching dress fittings.
Then while searching online (for celebrity wedding weight loss tips!) I came accross a review for Doug Rices Bridalicious Workout. I have to be honest and say it was the celebrity followers that caught my attention first but the more I read about it the more I liked it, it had loads of testimonials
from real life brides, click here to see before and after pictures. Some of these brides had lost the weight they needed for their weddings in just 39 days (this made me feel for the first time that I had enough time to lose weight for my wedding), I also liked the fact his bridal bootcamp had featured in the daily mail
as well as the wedding channel, gmtv, cnn.
PLus if I am being totally honest I liked the fact it wasnt going to break the bank (although celebs pay him $250 an hour!)and it came with a money back GUARANTEE. By this point our wedding budget was getting tight and
id spent a fortune on weight loss products.
Plus he really commands your attention with statements like:
If You’re Getting Married In The Next 2-12 Months,
You Only Have 4 Real Options:
1.Do nothing different than what you’ve been doing.
2.Keep “thinking about a possible plan” and procrastinate.
3.Hire a personal trainer for $60-90/hour (in most cities) and hope that he/she knows what to do.
4.Invest in Bridalicious Workout! and follow a proven formula toward your dreams!
So I bit the bullet and decided to go for it and I was impressed I have to say, the bridalicious work out helps cut cardio work outs to 20 mins, teaches you how to speed up your metabolism, it helps show you how to set wedding weight loss targets and how to achieve them.
My only real gripe was with daily menus and lists of foods it suggests I felt these didnt always fit in easily with my life and they were perhaps more geared towards Americans
Despite that the Bridalicious Workout was the best thing I tried and even better my dress fit perfectly 2 WEEKS before my wedding! I really did feel gorgeous on the day and all the trials and errors were worth and ive even managed to keep the weight off by modifying the routine.
